Proverbs 3:9-10

Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. 10 Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.

Honor the LORD with your wealth and with The firstfruits of all your produce; 10 then your barns will be filled with plenty,  and your vats will be bursting with wine.

Observation

1. Giving is a manner of honor not legalism.

I give because I desire to bring honor to Jesus.  It more than obedience of even meeting a need, it is an act of worship.

2. I am to give God my first fruits.

The tithe is first not out of what is left over.  I give God my tithe out of honor and because all of it belongs to him.  The tithe goes first.

3. I am to give God my best.

I do not give him my leftovers, half effort, or half hearted.  I give to God first and I give God my best.

Application

1. Tithe

2. Make giving an act of worship not just service.

3. Give God my best effort every day.

Prayer

I give you my all, you are first in my life. I desire to bring you glory and honor.
