Finding Comfort

Scripture

Psalm 11:4

But the LORD is in his holy Temple; the LORD still rules from heaven. He watches everyone closely, examining every person on earth.

Observation

This verse can cause fear or comfort.

1. It could cause fear if we are living in disobedience.

I do not want God to see what I am doing.  I do not want God to examine my heart, mind, and motives.

2. It could cause comfort if I am living in danger.

No matter where I am or what is happening to me, God is watching over me.  He sees me and is concerned about me.  All the power and forces of heaven can come to my defense.

Application

I choose to take comfort.  I know I am not perfect and I desire for God to examine and purify me.  I also need to know that he is on the look out over my life.  He guards and protects me from the enemy.  I am always in his sights.

Prayer

Thank you for looking out for me.  Thank you that you eye is always on me.  It makes me feel safe.  It gives me comfort.
